PlantHint is a plant care application for iOS that helps you track your plant collection, manage care schedules, set watering and care reminders, monitor plant health, identify plants and diseases using on-device machine learning, and share care responsibilities with others. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use PlantHint on any Apple device that you own or control, subject to these Terms and the Apple App Store Terms of Service. You may not:

4. Your Content

When you use PlantHint, you create content including plant names, nicknames, care schedules, watering logs, photos, garden configurations, and notes ("Your Content"). You retain full ownership of Your Content.

PlantHint uses Apple's CloudKit to store and synchronise Your Content. This means your plant data, photos, care history, and settings are stored in your personal iCloud account — not solely on your device. Llaps Digital has no access to your iCloud data at any time. All data stored via CloudKit is subject to Apple's iCloud Terms and Conditions.

If you remove the App and delete its iCloud data, all your data will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered by Llaps Digital.

4.3 Camera and Photo Library

PlantHint requests access to your device camera and photo library to enable plant and disease identification, and to let you attach photos to your plants. All image processing for identification is performed entirely on-device using machine learning models. No photos or camera frames are transmitted to Llaps Digital or any third party, except as described in Section 11 regarding optional use of the Pl@ntNet API.

5.2 Subscription Plans

PlantHint offers optional paid subscriptions (including free trials and lifetime access options) that unlock premium features. All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's payment terms.

If you activate a free trial, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before the trial expires. Cancellation must be done through your Apple ID account settings.

Subscription fees are charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase and at the start of each renewal period. Subscription prices are displayed at the point of purchase and are subject to change with advance notice.

All refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with the App Store refund policy. We do not process refunds directly.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you will retain access to premium features until that date.

If you share your PlantHint subscription through Apple's Family Sharing feature, you are solely responsible for determining who you grant access to. You are responsible for any usage of the App by family members under your shared subscription.

The plant care suggestions, watering schedules, and care recommendations provided by PlantHint are for general informational purposes only. They are not a substitute for professional botanical or horticultural advice.

We work to provide helpful, well-informed care guidance by taking into account multiple factors — including species-specific data, light, humidity, temperature, and your plant's care history. We also provide manual care tips curated from verified sources to support your plant care journey. That said, individual plant needs vary based on local conditions, water quality, soil, and other factors outside our control. We cannot guarantee specific outcomes, and you use the App's guidance at your own discretion.

9. Plant Sitter Feature

PlantHint allows you to share your plant care instructions with another person ("Plant Sitter") via a unique web link. By using this feature, you acknowledge that:

Anyone with the link can view the plant care information included in the shared assignment

You are solely responsible for deciding with whom you share the link

You should not include sensitive personal information in plant notes intended for sharing

Shared links remain active for the duration of the sitter assignment period that you configure. Once the assignment expires or you manually revoke it within the App, the link will no longer provide access to your plant data

The shared view includes plant names, care task schedules, and any notes you have added to the assignment. It does not include your account information, photos from your private gallery, or data from plants not included in the assignment

10. Family Caretakers and Garden Sharing

12. App Features and Data Visibility

PlantHint may display plant care information — including plant names, next care dates, and health status — on your device's home screen or lock screen via iOS Widgets. Widget data is visible to anyone who can see your device screen without unlocking it, depending on your device's widget visibility settings. You can remove PlantHint widgets at any time through your device's home screen settings.

12.2 Spotlight Search Indexing

PlantHint indexes certain plant data — such as plant names and care due dates — in iOS Spotlight to allow you to find your plants quickly via system search. This data is stored locally on your device as part of iOS's Spotlight index and is not shared with Apple or any third party. You can disable Spotlight indexing for PlantHint in your device's Settings under Siri & Search.

Paid subscribers may export their plant data from within the App. Exported files are saved to your device and are your responsibility once exported. Llaps Digital does not receive a copy of exported data. Exported data that leaves the App's storage is no longer subject to the App's privacy protections.
